The Predator
People Limited is now owned 100% by the two Directors, Chris and Helen Porter that
founded the company with David and Maggie Fenton who have now retired. No outside financial investors are
used and the company continues to operate with no debt
totally funding operations from cash
flow and reserves.
We are proud
of the fact that during an economic period in the UK
where British manufacturing has been in decline we
have grown year on year to the point where we believe
we are now market leaders in the UK in the supply
of vacuum machines for paddock maintenance
applications. We are of course hoping this
will continue and in any event our opinion
is the Company is well established and prepared
for most eventualities.
The company
is now in its 10th year of operations and
for the last 8 years the company has been based in
Brandon, Suffolk where we run the company administratively
and maintain an appropriate level of stock affording
an excellent delivery service, most times with machines
Ex Stock. It is the same plant where we rigorously finish
all machines ready for delivery to our customers.
The Predator
Lynx vacuum machines incorporating the Polyethylene
rotary moulded hoppers and other components, plus fitted
with hydraulic control systems are all fully manufactured
by the Predator People at its Brandon facility. All
future developments incorporating Polyethylene moulding
and Hydraulic control will be designed and manufactured
at the Brandon factory.
We pride ourselves on the high finish and quality of all our products.
All our machines are now powder coated for a quality finish.
It is our belief
that in addition to supplying quality products
to the equine and related markets our disciplines in
respect of the following have contributed significantly
to our success.
- Customer service is very important and
to that end we endeavor to provide such a good
service that customers will actually notice, be impressed
and make positive comment to others. (See ‘Customer
comment’ section
on this web page or click here)
- Supporting the Equine
industry by attending
high profile equine
trade shows is important to us.
Customers can always visit us when
we attend a show and prospective customers
can meet us, see our equipment and generally
get the feel of us at the same time, click here for details.
- Our machines have significantly improved and evolved
in design to provide the following benefits to
our customers:
- Light and easy to use – We
say they are designed for Ladies to use, as
most horse owners are Ladies. Big agricultural, heavy
machines are not ideal.
- Reliable and robust – Yes
they are that and with a 2-year warranty they
had better be good.
- Efficient in operation – The whole design
is to counter accusations prevalent in the
industry that vacuum machines do not work well in all conditions. The
Predator machines do and to that end we try
to make the point positively.
- Speedy pick-up – at about 300 droppings
per half hour (quoted by an actual customer)
and exceptional results actually ‘cleaning’ the
paddocks.
- With at least 7 basic
models to choose from a customer can tailor his or
her needs based on the number of animals owned and
the budget available.
We may
be considered a small to medium sized company but our
standards are very high. Professional manufacturing,
marketing and management are paramount to our success.
Niche products to a niche industry is challenging enough
so all other parameters had better be good if we
are to maintain our success.
